Do you feel small?
Well I will show you the way, that you can feel tall
We can be strong together
‘Cos we know just what we are
So do you swear on all the stars you ever saw?
That you loved them for what they are and nothing more
Do you swear on all the dreams you ever had?
That it was this life and no others that made you glad
Nobody told me why
There’s a big black hole in the sky
I said I’ve seen through all their lies
But all I need is the sunshine
Nobody told me why
There’s no big black hole in our lives
I’m feeling more and more alive
Knowing that this is just one life
Throughout the cosmos
In every supernova, well I’ll show you
We’re made of stardust
But you know that stardust is just another planet’s dirt
So do you swear on all the stars you ever saw?
That you loved them for what they are and nothing more
Do you swear on all the dreams you ever had?
That it was this life and no others that made you glad
Nobody told me why
There’s a big black hole in the sky
I said I’ve seen through all their lies
But all I need is the sunshine
Nobody told me why
There’s no big black hole in our lives
I’m feeling more and more alive
Knowing that this is just one life

By the lion enclosure, I wanna expose ya
I wanna get closer, before your life will be over
Just remember that it’s
It’s in na-na-nee-na-na
It’s in na-na-nee-na-na…
It’s inevitable, one day they’ll have us up against the wall
It’s inevitable, one day the animals reject their names
They’ve had enough today
They wanna live with their own names
They’re on the streets today
By the elephant enclosure, they’re ferocious and older
They’re angry and they remember, all the days of your slaughter
Just remember that it’s!
It’s in na-na-nee-na-na
It’s in na-na-nee-na-na…
It’s inevitable, one day they’ll have us up against the wall
It’s inevitable, one day the animals reject their names
They’ve had enough today
They wanna live with their own names
They’re on the streets today

I want 3-parent children, I want magnetic trains
I want levitating skateboards and a cheaper cure for AIDS
I want holidays on Venus in a new space age
And electronic tattoos in case I misspell someone’s name
Here’s the future, with everything in it
But most of it’s just junk, I don’t need it
There’s just 2 things that we want, yeah
All we want is equality and lasers
We deserve nothing less than equality and lasers
We should be up in space, being awesome with science
But we’re held back by homophobes, bigots and liars
Well I want equality and I want my fucking lasers
I want deep sea exploration
Healthy sex education
Third world vaccination yeah and don’t forget the jetpacks
Re-create the dinosaurs
Maybe even teleport
But until then I’d settle for some better public transport
The world of science, we push to the limit
We put an ear on a mouse for the hell of it
But there’s just 2 things that we want, yeah
All we want is equality and lasers
We deserve nothing less than equality and lasers
We should be working together, in science and medicine
I want peace between Tesla and Edison
Well I want equality and I want my fucking lasers

The world’s just a corporate freak show, I make my way to the exit
But every day they find another way to push it in my face, make me accept it
I’m not awake now, I’m just living in the past
And I sail away on it now, the hype of yesteryear
And I live my life by it now, all those forgotten years
The world’s just a boring freak show, I make my way to the exit
But every day they find another way to push it in my face so I never forget it
I’m not awake now, I’m just living in the past
And I sail away on it now, the hype of yesteryear
And I live my life by it now, all those forgotten years
Harry Potter fucking Katie Price
Teenage vampire films for all your life
You sell more product if you lie, you get an Oscar if you die
Oh oh, well these are the laws of hype
The junk of today is forgotten tomorrow
This is the hype of yesteryear

Have you ever had a hundred thoughts in a second?
Are you living life the way you’d reckoned?
You walk around with that smile on your face
I want to say that your bubble is a hollow sham
Lighten up, no thanks
Lighten up, no thanks
You say I think too much, well you don’t fucking think enough
I’m happy as I am, so lighten up no thanks
Have you ever had a hundred thoughts in second?
I don’t think so
Are you living life the way you’d reckoned?
Someone would have told you so
And you’ve still got that stupid smile on your face
I wanna say that your bubble is a hollow sham
Lighten up, no thanks
I’ll tell you where to go
Lighten up, no thanks
I don’t think so
You say I think too much, well you don’t fucking think enough
I’m happy as I am, so lighten up no thanks
You’re the happiness fascists, you’re telling people what to think
But what the hell would you know, you’re no good at being a cynic
And I shouldn’t have to tell you all the things that I’m aware about
I’m living life, because I know the things I really care about
One more time!
One more time
One more time, lighten up no thanks

My lover’s gone, lost – somewhere in the ventricles of space
And I feel the tentacles of age, so I go
Don’t want you to be my sun, my saviour
Don’t need a light in shining amour
You’re undivided, and I have never ever
Been undecided, in an ocean I could pick a lane
The gamma rays and hammerhead spaceships,
They can’t stand to be near you but I won’t fear you…
Because I would not trade
All the eloquent elegance, of the galaxy
For your scandalous heart
Sagittarius A*, Sagittarius A*
Sagittarius A*, Sagittarius A*
Are you Sirius my star
I took my time, and we both crossed lines we never wanted to
But I cheated time to get to you
Grew black holes in a line, because I could
Never distracted by kraken fireflies
In exploding velvet skies!
You’re undeniable, and I have never ever
Been satisfiable, and to this day I feel the same
The gas dwellers and feersum enjinns,
They can’t stand to be near you but I won’t fear you
Because I would not trade
All the eloquent elegance, of the galaxy
For your scandalous heart
Sagittarius A*, Sagittarius A*
Sagittarius A*, Sagittarius A*
Are you Sirius my star
You know I’d never trade
All your elegant eloquence, you’re my galaxy
You’re my scandalous heart
Sagittarius A*, Sagittarius A*
Sagittarius A*, Sagittarius A*
Are you Sirius my star.

Under silver songs of old
Well silver always beated gold
Songs of light and space and cold
And all the promises that they hold
I, have, walked this sky
To fantasise and terrorise
I, can’t, tell you why
But there’s something magical about these stars
They are weird but they are mine
Until the end of my time
I have nothing else to travel by
Reflected in these eyes
These stars are very old, these stars died long ago
These stars are weird cos they travel in time
I have nothing else to travel by
Well I don’t see the signs they see
These superstitious nations
But they’re still magical to me
These upside-down constellations
I, have, walked this sky
To fantasise and terrorise
I, can’t, tell you why
But there’s something magical about these stars
They are weird but they are mine
Until the end of my time
I have nothing else to travel by
Reflected in these eyes
These stars are very old, these stars died long ago
These stars are weird cos they travel in time
I have nothing else to travel by
Seas of burning gases
Inspiring the masses
Since societies first opened their eyes
I choose weird stars across my skies
We are weird stars, and we shine best in the dark
From galaxies far far apart
And we burn like suns in our hearts
And you know that it’s true
We are weird stars, and we shine best in the dark
From histories far far apart
And we burn like suns in our hearts
And you know that it’s true
We are weird stars, and we shine best in the dark
From fantasies far far apart
And we burn like suns in our hearts
And you know that it’s true
We are weird stars.

There’s an evil spirit in this city
There’s a dirty feeling in plain view
The monsters walk around in masks so pretty
They put you in those clothes, and then they blame you
She never knew what she did wrong, she never knew what she did wrong
She never knew what she did wrong, well we never knew what she did wrong
But when the moon rises in the night, we’ll ride
Like whores on horseback, we will be the light
Waiting in the night to fight back
We’ll ride this town until the streets are clean, of hate and bigotry
We will be the light, we will take the time
We’ll hold up your reflections for you
Like whores on horseback, we will be the light
The monsters say we’re faggots against nature
They say we got a deviant agenda
But they’re the ones inciting violent behaviour
They’re the ones trying to criminalise our gender
He never knew what he did wrong, He never knew what he did wrong
He never knew what he did wrong, well we never knew what he did wrong
But when the moon rises in the night, we’ll ride
Like whores on horseback, we will be the light
Waiting in the night to fight back
We’ll ride this town until the streets are clean, of hate and bigotry
We will be the light, we will take the time
We’ll hold up your reflections for you
Like whores on horseback, we will be the light
I sit here atop this pyramid, of privilege I was born into
I sit here and count my privilege, white cis male straight and English-speaking too
I’ll preach against their privilege until misogyny’s a meaning that we don’t know
Until white’s just a colour in the rainbow
Until misogyny’s a meaning that we don’t know
Until there’s not a single shame that we won’t show
Well we never knew what we did wrong
‘Cos we never did did nothing wrong
And the moon’s still rising and we’re taking back the night
Like whores on horseback, we will be the light
Waiting in the night to fight back
We’ll ride this town until the streets are clean, of hate and bigotry
We will be the light, we will take the time
We’ll hold up your reflections for you
Like whores on horseback, we will be the light, oh

Fuck your politics, fuck your philosophy
Keep your catchy tunes and fuck all the rest,
The simplest songs sell the best
I wanted to write songs, yeah, that I could believe in
Naïve little me
I wanted to write songs people would find interesting
I wrote about!
Science and music
The sings of religion
Inequality
The world we all live in
I even wrote about the desperate highs of love
But they said!
Fuck your politics, fuck your philosophy
Fuck all the things in the world right now
Just write songs to get girls into bed
Fuck you politics, fuck your sociology
Keep your catchy tunes and fuck all the rest,
The simplest songs sell the best
I wanted to write songs that might make people think
What was I thinking? You can’t make people think!
Just be a drum’n’bass DJ and watch them drink
It pays much better than songs about
Hipsters and posers
The hypocrisy of fashion
The media’s lies
Cultural imperialism
I wrote about a world map that’s blue white and red
But they said!
Fuck your politics, fuck your philosophy
Fuck all the things in the world right now
Just write songs to get girls into bed
Fuck you politics, fuck your sociology
Keep your catchy tunes and fuck all the rest,
The simplest songs sell the best
I get bitter, I get angry, but
I gotta show the world I’m still hungry
And I will sing about whatever I damn well want
And I won’t care when they say!
Fuck your politics, fuck your philosophy
Fuck all the things in the world right now
Just write songs to get girls into bed
Fuck you politics, fuck your sociology
Keep your catchy tunes and fuck all the rest,
The simplest songs, ever-simpler songs
Shitty, stupid, plastic songs sell the best
